Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical evaluation of mineral assets of potential investments - Develop exploration strategies and programs in conjunction with partner companies - Recommend and manage budget expenditure on exploration programs - Provide technical support to partner companies to develop their exploration capability - Monitor and report upon all exploration activities - Maintain a database for all geological information and data associated
Requirements:
- University Degree in Geology, with postgraduate studies preferred - Commodity Experience: A broad range is preferred including coal, iron ore, copper/base metals, gold, - Exploration experience: Prior experience in managing regional exploration programs including drilling programs (supervising, logging), geological mapping, geochemical and geophysical programs and data management - Resource estimation: Demonstrated ability to estimate geological resources and an understanding of the JORC Code - Software: Proficient in using GIS programs such as Map info and database and resource estimation programs such as Micro mine, Sur pac, Vulcan, Data mine. - Management: Demonstrated proficiency in managing geological field work - Legislation: Demonstrated understanding of Mongolian legislation with respect to the Mongolian mining industry - Familiar with Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Presentation - At least two years relevant work experience with a foreign company - international experience will be viewed favourably - Communication: Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, fluent in both spoken and written Mongolian and English and proficient in Russian
